The Covid-19 pandemic continues to have a devastating impact on our lives. So we decided to get creative and use the excess handwoven towel materials to create facemasks. Each GuaTela facemask is made of cotton fabric handwoven in the Western Highlands of Guatemala by master artisans with whom we work directly. This particular fabric was handwoven by Menegildo, one of our artisans partners. To create these one-of-a-kind facemasks we team up with a group of talented artists in Indio, Southern California, who cut and sew each facemaks individually at home. The GuaTela facemask is comfortable, durable, reusable and washable. Your purchase will not only support our partners in Guatemala but also provide additional income to the artisans in the US who lost their income due to the Covid-19 crisis. Please note, each mask is entirely one-of-a-kind and may vary from the image. Prior to purchasing, please read the disclaimer.
